ABOUT OUR FOUNDER, Dr. Ernest “Asante” Korankye
Dr. Ernest Korankye has developed a reputation for building a logistics company that provides the highest level of service to B2B manufacturers, B2B distributors and car exporters. Asante Logistic Group has contracts with some of the largest manufacturers of specialty plastics and paper. The company also serves beverage manufacturers housing raw materials and other specialty goods.
However, Asante’s roots in business started with the car export industry. It was within this industry that Ernest discovered the complex challenges, first-hand, of moving cargo globally. The major challenges came from the number of touchpoints and/or suppliers it took to move cargo, in this case vehicles, from point A to point B. Initially, what seemed to be thought of as an easy logistics opportunity to forward vehicles to buyers in his native land of Africa from Canada became much more challenging due to having to deal with freight forwarders, trucking companies, storage facility operators and customs paperwork.
As Ernest started to grow the car exporting segment of the business, he thought “there has to be a better way that doesn’t cause so much stress for myself and our clients”. Ernest, at that point in time, decided to create a business model that would facilitate everything required in car exporting. This meant one point of contact for all warehousing, freight forwarding, export and import services. Over the past 10 years, in moving thousands of vehicles and other raw materials and finished goods around the world, Asante has built their 3PL logistics infrastructure and reputation to remove the stress within the logistics and supply chain management process for our clients.
